Demeter by hannahfaithyata is an undeniably stunning oil painting. Everything in it - from the concept, symbolism, to the fabulous technique, makes this one a surreal masterpiece. ( Suggested by EvaGataArtist and Featured by STelari )

Your paintings have an interesting exploration of surrealism. Engaging with a lovely blend of animals and humans certainly makes for a fascinating subject matter. The composition in your paintings are striking & your choice of colours are wonderfull.  Overall This is a lovely piece & well painted, fantastic artwork!

you know i was joking...
yes, it's a sweet shot, i'm glad you don't feel bothered when i "spam" you with stuff... (i tend to do that, and not everyone likes it... :faint:)

btw. when i moved to this place here, at the end of the world, at the edge of the field ("feldrand" in german), twice a year we had about one week of wild geese and cranes passing by on their way either way up north (in spring) or way back down south (in autumn) - an incredible sight, i just had to look out my kitchen window to see them...
but three years ago something must have happened - i suppose one of their meeting ponds or lakes must have been removed or whatever - since then they don't come anymore - i miss them, miss their wonderful shouting...

Awww no it's fine... That's a beautiful and sad story. Just another echo of the continuing loss of habitat for animals. It scares me,... The noise of humans. I'm starting to become very disoriented in this city. I grew up to the sounds of birds and the smell of horses. Now it's just garbage And exhaust ...

oh, i have to tell you:
some weeks ago, for the first time since years, three big V-formations of cranes appeared and approached our place again! and what's more - they made a big circle over the acre in front of our house! imagine the sound of their trumpeting cries! the first flock(?) waited until the other two joined up and they all slowly mixed in one big spiral... it was so impressive, that even the farmer on that acre stopped his tractor, jumped off and stood there, gazing up... after quite a while, after they had gained height, they stretched out and majesticly continued their way... we all had a big smile in our faces - what a day!

.... again you bring tears to my eyes...

i know so very well, what you are talking about!
i grew up out in the moor, in a village with 300 inhabitants! the houses where quite far a away from one another along straight streets... theoretically you could drive forward for miles without steering before the next bend came, with birch trees to the left and right...
in the 90s i thought i'd have to move to the city to find work - oh boy, haha... i must admit that i met many really nice and decent people and i was astonished to see, that several of them knew really much about nature, but one morning i took my bike to ride to my work and was shocked - all leaves were off the trees!
how could this happen? i lost contact to nature, i hadn't realized that summer and autumn were over already and winter was almost there - that was the point when i quit my work and went to live in the country again - better for me...
if you find the time i would appreciate if you read my journal - the last item is from may last year in which i describe my life out here...

and then i have to say, that i heard news that the cranes and wild geese are doing quite well in this area - plus i know that there are people who "create" places for these birds and other animals... near the place where i lived before, there was one farmer who let one big pasture sort of drown from the nearby brook - then he planted certain plants making it a swampy place - i had opportunity to watch the process over 4 years and during the last year i saw beautiful geese landing there, staying for one or two days and leave again...
